It is with great sadness that the family of the late Pauline Mary Plowman announce her passing on Tuesday, January 16, 2024 at Western long Term, Palliative Care Unit at the age of 80 years.
Pauline was born in Daniel’s Harbour to Leo and Eileen Rumbolt on August 22, 1943. She grew up in Port Saunders and it was there she met her lifelong husband, David, when his family resettled in Port Saunders from Kings Cove. They eventually settled in Hawkes Bay and had three daughters. They had many happy years together.
Pauline loved to travel. She went on many cruise ship tours, especially if it involved her favorite singer, Danny O’Donnell. She took a tour to Nashville and Medjugorje. She loved to travel. She also enjoyed serving with the ACW, serving her church, Holy Innocents as Treasurer for 20 plus years, playing Rumoli and the 50 Plus club. She developed many friendships during her travels and at home.
She is predeceased by her father Leo and mother Eileen; Father-in-law William, mother-in-law Alfreda; beautiful daughter Gwennie and husband David.
She will be remember by daughters Sybil (Reg), Wavey (Garcien); granddaughter Samantha (Jerry); great-grandson Jack; her beloved brother Henry (May) Rumbolt, brother-in-law Boyge (Florence) Plowman; and many family and friends.
