It is with great sadness that the family of the late Stanley Elias Lawrence announce his passing on Friday, January 19, 2024 at Western Long Term Care, Palliative Care Unit at the age of 78 years. He leaves to mourn with fond and loving memories his sisters: Jean Lawrence Callahan and Peggy Lawrence; as well as a large circle of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. A special thank you to Luke and Eunice Lawrence to all their help and care over the years. He was predeceased by his parents George and Mary Lawrence, sister Edna Purchase, brother Brian Michael Lawrence and step-brother George Lawrence. Friends may visit Fillatre’s Funeral Home, 4 St. Mark’s Avenue on Monday from the hours of 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. The funeral service will be held on Tuesday, January 23 at 10:00 a.m. from Fillatre’s Funeral Chapel, St. Mark’s Avenue with Father Edward Terry officiating. Interment to follow at Mount Patricia Cemetery. As expressions of sympathy, donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society.
