Obituary of Samuel Broomfield

It is with great sadness that the family of the late Samuel Richard  Broomfield announce his passing on January 24^th, 2024, at Long Term Care, Labrador Heath Centre, Happy Valley Goose Bay, NL at the age of 78 years.

Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories are his children: Mark (Suzette) Broomfield, Lynn (Nick) Hickey, and Blair (Lisa Peckford) Broomfield; grandchildren: Brady (Breanne), Samantha, Matthew, and Sommer as well as a large circle of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Samuel was predeceased by his parents: William and Susan Broomfield; wife: Betty; sister: Margaret; brothers: Willie, Tony, Abe, Batten and Donald. Visitations will take place on Saturday, January 27, 2024, from 7:00- 9:00 pm and Sunday, January 28^th, 2024, from 2:00-4:00 pm and 7:00-9:00 pm at Fillatre’s Funeral Home in Happy Valley-Goose Bay, NL.

The funeral service will be held on Monday, January 29, 2024, from the United Church, Happy Valley-Goose Bay, NL at 2:00 pm with Rev Alice Moores officiating. Interment to follow at the Moravian Church Cemetery.

As expressions of sympathy, donations may be made to the Broomfield family.
