It is with great sadness that the family of the Late Vita Gervasi Chaisson announce her peaceful passing at Sir Thomas Roddick Hospital on January 25, 2024 at the age of 78years.

She will be greatly missed and forever loved by her husband of 59 years Harry Chaisson; her children: Bernadette (Ken), Wallace (Kimberly), Norma, Harry Jr. (Daisy); grandchildren:  Cameron, Laura, Stephen, Derek, Ana, Andrea, Selena and Amelia; great-grandchildren:  Jayla, Lily, Savannah, Grayson, Clarissa; sisters:  Millie, Bernadette, Gerarda, Gail, Mary, Victoria; brothers:  Norman, Daniel, Alphonse, Joe, Derrick, Bertram and many other nieces, nephews and other relatives.

Vita was pre-deceased by her parents Constance and Raymond Barter; her brothers Austin, Gerald and her sisters Helen and Ivy.

Flowers will be accepted.  Donations may be made to the Arthritis Society.

Visitation on Sunday, January 28, 2024 from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. at the St. Ann Chapel in Mainland.  Funeral service to follow on Monday, January 29, 2024, 11:30 a.m. at the St. Ann Chapel with Fr. Joseph officiating.  

Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Fillatre’s Funeral Home, Stephenville Crossing, NL.
