Jeanette (Jeanie) Dorothy Mosher
May 20, 1940 – January 25, 2024
It is with heavy hearts that the family of Jeanette Dorothy (Jeanie) Mosher announce her sudden passing at Lanes Retirement Home, Irishtown, NL on Thursday, January 25, 2024. Jeanette is survived by sister Julie Vaters (Reuben); brother Fred Mosher, St. Catherine, Ont.; and nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her brother Clifford Mosher, 2009, mother Cedella Mosher, 1994 and father Fred Mosher, 2000. Special thanks to Sandra Burden and all the staff and friends at Lanes Retirement Home who became her family for the past three years. Jeanette left home in Corner Brook at the age of 18 to join the RCAF. Her working life included Inland Cement, Alberta, Humber Pharmacy, Lundrigans Ltd., Eatons and the Bank of Montreal in Corner Brook. Cremation has taken place, there will be no visitation. A memorial service will take place at Fillatre’s Funeral Chapel, 4 St. Mark’s Avenue on Sunday, January 28 at 2:30 p.m. with Rev. Jocelyn Cook officiating. As expressions of sympathy, donations may be made to Humber United Church Memorial Fund.
Jeanette loved butterflies, small animals, children and was passionate about cars, especially classics, luxury models and fast cars.
“Don’t weep at my grave for I am not there. I’ve a date with a butterfly to dance in the air. I’ll be singing in the sunshine while I’m free; playing tag with the wind while I’m waiting for thee.”
