Obituary of Emma Jane Keeping
It is with great sadness that the family of the late Emma Jane Keeping announce her passing on Friday, April 9, 2010 at her family residence in Burnt Islands, at the age of 72 years. Born in Isle Aux Morts, Emma was the daughter of the late George and Elizabeth Seymour. She was also predeceased by her husband Cyril Keeping; sons: Ronald Keeping and Clayton Keeping; sister Edith Seymour; brothers and sisters-in-law: Irene Keeping, Arthur and Sarah Keeping, Blandford and Sadie Keeping, Maggie and Fredrick Gibbs, and Maxwell King. She leaves to mourn with fond and precious memories, her loving family, children: Edith (Israel) Kinslow, Isle Aux Morts, Max (Linda) Keeping, Brantford, ON, Maxine (Roy) Spicer, Rose Blanche, Gerald (Barb) Keeping, Brantford, ON, Sheila (Henry) Keeping, Port Aux Basques, Raymond Keeping, Brantford, ON, George (Jocelyn) Keeping, Isle Aux Morts, Alice Keeping, Burnt Islands; 16 grandchildren; 7 great-grandchildren; brother George Seymour, St. Anthony; sisters-in-law: Ella King, Port Aux Basques and Margaret (Roy) Spicer, Rose Blanche, as well as a large circle of friends. Visitation took place at St. George's Anglican Church on Saturday and Sunday, from where the Funeral Service took place on Monday, April 12th at 2:00 p.m. officiated by Father Nussey. Interment followed at Hillside Haven Anglican Cemetery, Isle Aux Morts Road. As expressions of sympathy, flowers graciously accepted.
