Peter Joseph Maddigan, a beloved husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, and cherished friend, passed away peacefully surrounded by his loved ones Saturday February 3rd. His strength and dignity, which were hallmarks of his character, remained intact until the end.
Born to Peter and Mary Maddigan.
Peter lived a life that was abundant with love, laughter, and cherished memories. Known for his sparkling humor and affable nature, he was a beacon of wisdom and comfort to his family, friends, and everyone fortunate enough to have known him.
With a heart full of humor and a love for sociable gatherings, Peter could light up any room he entered. His laughter was infectious, his spirit uplifting, and his company sought after. He had an innate ability to bring joy and laughter to every situation,
Peter had a wonderful sense of humor that he passed on to his children, always finding joy and laughter in every situation weather it was the truth as he seen it!
His resilience and strength were truly inspirational, and he faced every challenge with courage, right until the end.
Peter is survived by his loving wife, Madeline, and their three children, Darlene (Darren), Kevin, and Rachel (Derrick) He was a proud grandfather to seven grandchildren: Brandon (Brittany) Christopher (Tara) Andrew, Colton, CJ, Riley, and Cody (Samantha). He also leaves behind his great-granddaughters, Letty and Haley who brought immense joy to his life. His sister, Jeanie Madore and brother in law Walter Mador who will miss him greatly.
He also says goodbye to his many nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends who held a special place in his heart.
His wisdom, love, and laughter and lets not forget his humor. These moments will remain in our hearts, and his spirit will continue to guide us.
A service to celebrate Peter's life will take place on Tuesday, February 6th starting at 2:00 p.m. at his Daughter Darlene's home at 946 Main Street Frenchmans Cove to toast his life.
As we mourn the loss of a remarkable man, we also celebrate a life well-lived. His life touched so many, made a difference, and was well-loved. Rest in peace, Dad, Husband, Brother, Pop, Uncle Pete and friend. Your memory will forever be a blessing.
