It is with great sadness that the family of the late Stanley Janes announce his sudden passing at his residence in Fort McMurray on Sunday, February 27th, 2005 at the age of 53 years. He leaves to mourn his loving wife Cathy, son Fraser (Lisa), daughter Heather, grandchildren: Tyren and Riley, all of Ft. McMurray; sister Myra (Austin) Shears, Cormack; brothers-in-law: Aloysius McDonald, Corner Brook and Richard McDonald, Grand Falls; mother & father-in-law Norma & Joseph Butt, Deer Lake; brothers-in-law: Arch (Angela) Butt, Tom (Christina) Butt, Deer Lake, Glen Pearcey, Pasadena; sisters-in-law: Joanne (Nolan) McKay, Deer Lake and Myra (David) Upward, Ottawa; as well as a large circle of other nieces, nephews, many relatives and friends. He was pre-deceased by parents Fraser & Frances Janes, brother Robert (Leila) and Wilson, sisters: Bella McDonald and Hilda McDonald, brother-in-law: David Butt and sister-in-law Kerry Pearcey. The funeral service will be held Sunday, March 6th at 2:30 p.m. from the United Church in Deer Lake, Reverend Tony Newell officiating, followed by the interment at the Deer Lake Interdenominational Cemetery. Friends may visit Fillatre's Funeral Home, 10 Clinic Drive, Deer Lake, Saturday from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. As expressions of sympathy, flowers are graciously accepted or memorial donations may be made to the Salvation Army or to St. Paul's United Church Accessible Church Fund, 17 Spruce Street, Deer Lake, NL A8A 2C2 or a charity of one's choice.
