MARIE GOODYEAR Mountview Estates, Corner Brook (Formerly of St. George’s) February 9, 1927 - April 12, 2010 It is with great sadness that the family of the late Marie Goodyear announce her passing on Monday, April 12, 2010 at the Western Memorial Regional Hospital, Corner Brook at the age of 83 years. She leaves to mourn with fond and loving memories her sons: Jim (Janet), Dan (Christie) and Ian (Jeri); grandchildren: Ben, Lucy, Henry, Anne and Isaac; one great-granddaughter Mia; sister Ruby (Frank) Simmons; as well as a large circle of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She was predeceased by her husband Arnold Goodyear, parents James and Matilda Butt, sisters Dawn (Howard) Butt and Joan (Ralph) McKay. Friends may visit Fillatre’s Funeral Home, 4 St. Mark’s Avenue on Wednesday from the hours of 3-5 & 7-9 p.m. Cremation to follow at Humber Valley Crematorium, followed by a private family interment. As expressions of sympathy no flowers by request donations may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or to a Charity of One’s Choice.
