It is with great sadness that the family of the late Rebecca Madeline (Baikie) Sheppard announce her peaceful passing, surrounded by her loving family, on Friday, February 09, 2024, at the Happy Valley-Goose Bay Long Term Care Home at the age of 88.
Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories are her husband of 66 years Eugene Charles. Her Children: Rhonda, Sharon (Rob), Gayle (George), David (Gloria), Timothy (Yvette), and Tammy (Roy). Her Grand-Children: Tamara, Regina, Robert, Kenneth, Becky, Amanda, Sabrina, Vicky, MacKenzie, Megan and Lindsay. Her Great-Grand-Children: Kade, Caleb, Aurora, Elijah, Micah, Wolf, Ashlynn, and Spencer. Her Brothers: Lewis (Lindsay) of Scotland and Lee (Joyce) of North West River and Sister-in-Law Sarah Baikie of Rigolet As well as a large circle of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
Rebecca is pre-deceased by her Father: Robert Baikie and her Mother: Dulcie (White) Baikie, Brothers: Robert, Wilbur, and Garland and Sister-in-law Eileen Baikie. Her infant son Robert Eugene and Grand-daughter Ashley.
Friends may visit Fillatre’s Funeral Home from 2-4 pm and 7-9 pm on Sunday, February 11, 2024.
The funeral service will be held on Monday, February 12, 2024, at 2pm at the St. Andrews Anglican Church with Reverend Amber Tremblett officiating. Interment to follow at the Anglican Church Cemetery.

Special thanks to the nurses and staff at the Happy Valley-Goose Bay Long Term Care Home for taking such wonderful care of our mother during her stay at the home, especially during her final few days.
