It is with great sadness that the family of the late EDITH MAE SKINNER announce her passing on Thursday April 15th, 2010 after a brief illness at Western Memorial Regional Hospital, Corner Brook in her 88th year. She leaves to mourn with fond and loving memories her sister Isabelle French and brother Norman Parsons (Lorna), brothers-in-law, Launcelot (Francis) Skinner, Steven (Ethel) Skinner, sister-in-law, Gladys Strowbridge, special nieces Jean Johnson and Betty Cuff, a large circle of nieces, nephews and relatives. As well she leaves to mourn lifetime friends, Bessie Crocker and Pearl Hulan and special friends Emeline and Jeff Follett. She was predeceased by her husband Robert Ward Skinner, parents Elizabeth and Meshach Parsons, brothers Sandy (Pearl) Parsons, Robert (Florence) Parsons, John (Hazel) Parsons, sisters, Effie (Edward) Power, Alice (Raymond) Tipple, Mildred (George) Young and brother-in-law William French. A special thank-you to the staff at Western Health Care Long Term Care Bungalow #1 for the care provided to Edith over the pass few years. Friends may visit St. David of Wales Anglican Church in Pasadena on Monday from the hours of 7-9 p.m. from where the funeral service will be held Tuesday April 20th at 11:00 a.m. followed by the interment at Mt. Patricia Cemetery. Friends may visit Fillatre’s Funeral Home 4 St. Marks Avenue Saturday and Sunday 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. As expressions of sympathy memorial donations may be made to the Local Chapter of the S.P.C.A.
