Obituary of Elsie Brenda Clements
Elsie Brenda Clements (1952 – 2024)
It is with great sadness that the family of the late Elsie Brenda Clements announce her peaceful passing on March 12, 2024, at the Corner Brook Long Term Care Home.
Elsie was a kind and gentle soul, fiercely loyal to those she loved. She was an avid lover of anything to do with the outdoors, whether it be going for walks around Glynmill Pond or riding on the back of a Honda Goldwing with her best friend and husband Eugene. Elsie especially loved spoiling her two grandchildren and always looked forward to visiting them to cheer them on whether it be at a hockey rink or a soccer field. But while she loved the outdoors and spending time with her grandchildren, she also enjoyed the simpler things in life like sitting down with a hot cup of tea and a piece of toast.
Leaving to mourn, with fond and loving memories, her best friend and husband of 51 years, Eugene. Her daughter Tammy (Pete) Clavette of Madawaska, Maine and her grandchildren, the lights of her life, Jordan (Emma) and Kamryn (Drew). Her sisters, Pearl Blanchard of Toronto, ON, Joan Brubbaker of SK, and Marion Blanchard and brother Alex (Thelma) Blanchard of Corner Brook, NL.
Also leaving to mourn are her brother-in-law Terry (Theresa) Clements of NS, sisters-in-law Delores (Brenden) Lewis and Kim Gale of Corner Brook, Denise (Sally) Clements of FL, and her absolute best friend of many years, Hilda (Dave) Hicks as well as many relatives and close friends.
Elsie is predeceased by her parents, Charles and Gladys Blanchard, sister Doris (Jim) Hickey, brothers-in-law Arden Misko and James (Gloria) Clements and by her parents-in-law Harold and Jane Clements.
The Clements and Blanchard Families would also like to thank the wonderful and fantastic staff of Blueberry Lane and Raspberry Road of CB Long Term Care for their dedication and care of Elsie over the years. The families would also like to thank Dr. Mark Smallwood for his kind care and consideration of Elsie.
As per the family wishes, cremation has taken place and there will be a visitation Saturday, March 16, 2024, at Fillatre’s Funeral Home, St. Marks Avenue at 2 – 4 pm and 7 – 9 pm.
