1922-2010
Passed peacefully away at the palliative care unit of Western Memorial Hospital, Corner Brook, in her 88th year, on April 24, 2010, Agnes (Turpin) Lees. Predeceased by her husband William (Shorty) Lees; parents, Edward and Lucy; brothers Gerard, Francis (Roche), and Robert; sisters, Violet Lundrigan, Mary Cove, Lena Rielly, Theresa O’Reilly, and Norma Turpin. Leaving to mourn her brother Victor and wife Mary of Corner Brook; sisters Nora Rector of Burlington, Ont., and Flora Fitzpatrick of Oshawa, Ont.; sisters-in-law Meta Turpin of St. Lawrence and Priscilla Turpin of St. John’s. Also left to mourn are a large number of nieces and nephews. The funeral service will be held at 10:30 a.m. Monday, April 26, at Fillatre’s Funeral Home Chapel, 4 St. Mark’s Avenue, Corner Brook with Father Ambrose Hynes officiating. Interment to follow at Mount Patricia Cemetery. No flowers by request. As expressions of sympathy donations may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation. The family guest book may be signed or a memorial donation may be made at www.fillatre.ca.
