Obituary of Alma L Martin

It is with great sadness that the family of the late Alma Lorenia Martin Simpson (LO) announce her passing on March 29^th, 2024, at the Labrador Health Centre in Happy Valley-Goose Bay at the age of 79 years.

Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories are her sons: Russell (Michelle) Pierson and Randy (Daphne) Pike; daughters: Cindy Pierson Palmer and Sherri Pierson; grandchildren: Stephen, Jordan, Joshua, Jacob, Max, Don (Krystal), Holly (Marc); great grandchildren: Kenzie, Jamison, Desiree and Zoe; like a brother: Frank Martin Ferraro and wife Annie; special nephew: Martin McGowan and special niece: Tara McGowan and Broderick Barney; sister: Barbara McGowan; as well as a large circle of extended relatives and friends.

She was predeceased by her husband: Ronald Simpson; parents: Harriett and Donald Martin; brother: Thomas Martin; sisters: Rosetta Carew, Doris Saunders, and Betty Davis; her beloved dog: Mukluk.

The family would like to extend special thanks to the staff at the Labrador Health Centre, Happy Valley-Goose Bay, NL and to all who visited, sent messages and called during Lorenia’s hospital stay.
