Nicholas Darryl Skinner (Bruddy)

April 24, 1997---April 21, 2024

On Sunday morning, April 21st, 2024 our lives were forever changed. It is with great sadness and broken hearts that the family of Nicholas Darryl Skinner announces his sudden and tragic passing in Lark Harbour, NL. Leaving to mourn is the love of his life, Martina Sheppard (Kim and Brian); his mom Terrie (Neil), his dad Darryl (stepmom Tina); siblings Aleigha, Ryder (Ryder’s Dad Todd), Andrew and Sarah; grandparents Thomas and Sharon Childs, Linda Skinner and Bill and Doreen Drodge; special aunt Joanna Childs and many more aunts, uncles, cousins and close friends, especially Kurt Sheppard. Predeceased by grandfather George Skinner and Uncle Trevor Childs (Uncle T).

Nicholas was known for his vibrant smile that could be seen for miles, especially after falling in love with beautiful Martina. Wherever you saw one, you saw the other as they did everything together. They loved snowboarding, sea-dooing, ski-dooing and especially rides in the woods, whether it was by themselves or with their close group of friends.

Much like Uncle T, Nick’s love for the outdoors was passed down to him and is a big part of who he was. He enjoyed hunting and fishing as well as the social aspects of the outdoors. Whenever you seen him in the woods, he was always excited to stop and have a chat and even tell a story or two.   Nick will be greatly missed by everyone in Lark Harbour/York Harbour and the whole fishing community.

There will be visitation for family and friends on Thursday, April 25, 2024 from 4 to 9pm at St. James Anglican Church in Lark Harbour, NL from where the Funeral service will also take place on Friday, April 26th , 2024 at 2pm, followed by interment at the church cemetery. As expressions of sympathy, and in lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the St. James All Grade School Scholarship Trust Fund, The SJAG Breakfast program or St. James Anglican Church, Lark Harbour, NL.
