It is with great sadness that the family of Darcel Karen Christine Anne Lidd announce her passing on Saturday, April 27, 2024, at 1:17am at the Janeway Hospital, St. John’s, NL at the age of 14 years, 11 months, and 21 days.

Darcel loved the army, she was a very intelligent girl so smart, she also was an honour student in grade 9, she loved playing her guitar and her keyboard, she loved Metallica and Guns and Roses, she loved drawing. On her own she was studying 6 languages English, Inuktitut, Innu, Arabic, German, and French and oh was she so great at it. Darcel loved playing hockey, one of her most favourite sports. She was oh so quiet in the tone of her voice but was loud with her art and lyrics she wrote herself. She loved children. She was very poetic and expressed her emotions on paper, she was very shy person and always tried to hide her beautiful face. She picked up sewing all on her own and she was very good at it. Her very first atigik went to Bayan whom she also loved a lot. She would always talk about her adorable nephew Cole and was the first to grab him in any room. She had such a strong bond with her siblings, especially her big sisters Lizette and Mary Charlotte. Her closest relationship was with her big brother Menzel.

Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories are her mother: Miriam Lidd; her father: Tobie Noah; her aunt: Justine; her aunt: Lieve Noah; her grandmother: Sabina Lidd; her siblings: Samuel (Juanita) and nephew Cole, Rachel, Menzel, Hazel, Mary Charlotte, Lizette, Alice, Yvonne, Delvina, Claudette, Shania, Tracy, Glen, Tesh, Paulette, Kristina, and Jason. Auntie: Ben-Sue (Jacko) and children; uncle: Peter (Sherry) and boys; aunt: Nancy (Douglas) and children. As well as a large circle of nephews, nieces, other relatives, and a large circle of friends.

Darcel was predeceased by Atatsiak: Adam Lidd; close cousins: Mark Dicker and Clara Lidd; grandparents: Simon and Mary Anne Noah; and uncles: Jason and David Noah.
