Obituary of Emmett Nuna

It is with great sadness that the family of the late Emmett (Nui) Nuna announces his passing on May 3, 2024, at Western Memorial Regional Hospital, Corner Brook, NL.

Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories are wife: Yvonne Nuna; children: Michel (Tiffany), Ann Marie (Randy Rich), Andrew (Mary Angela Abraham), Robert, Uniam, Benoit (Juliepierre), Mary Pia, Elizabeth (Alphonse), Amanda (Louie), and Anshenik; grandchildren: Ethan, Mariah, Libby, Sidney, Zuri, Randis, Evan, Callah, Judith, Peshtapesh, Karson, and Mella, Marley, Shukapesh, Bethany, Daisy, Maninush, Avery, Patina, Paulette, and Apatet; great-grandchild: Tashtu Nuna; brothers: Pien, Basil, Edward, Gregory, and Alexander; sister: Anne Marie. As well as a large circle of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.

Emmett was predeceased by his parents, Joseph and Mary Madeline Nuna; his sisters, Justine Nuna and Theresa Pinette; and his brother, Daniel Nuna.

There will be a wake held in Sheshatshiu, NL, at 31 Messek Street on Sunday, May 5th, 2024, beginning at 6:00 p.m.

The funeral service will be held on Monday, May 6th, 2024, beginning at 1:00 p.m. at the Tshitshitua Shushep Roman Catholic Church (St. Joseph), with Father Joe Pichai officiating. With interment to follow at the Sheshatshiu Cemetery.
