Obituary of Marion Amelia Barney

It is with great sadness that the family of the late Marion Amelia Barney (nee Linstead) announce her peaceful passing on Monday, May 20th, 2024, at the Labrador South Health Centre, Long Term Care, at the age of 96 years.

Left to mourn: Children: Christine (Cecil), Melita (Norman), Son Douglas (Liz) & Vera (Andrew).  Grandchildren: Selma (Jerry), Leon (Michelle), Kerry (Tywna), Andrea (Sam), Brad (Lisa), Jarvis (Christie) & Marty (Shelby).  Great-grandchildren: Jenesta (Dwight), Janine (Brendan), Toby, Renee, Cory, Magan, Jax & Hayden.  Great-great-grandchildren: Lily, Sophie, Jimmy, Brooke & Bree. Sister-in-law Adeline.  A large circle of family and friends along with a very special friend, Christine Normore. Predeceased: Husband Harold; Parents: James & Julie Ann Linstead; Grandson Warrick; Brothers: Robert (Florence), Stanley Sr., Wesley (Alice Ann), Baxter & Sister Isabella (Maxwell)

There will be a visitation held at St. Paul’s Anglican Church, L’anse au Loup, on Wednesday, May 22nd, 2024, at 7:00 p.m. where there will be a time of singing and sharing stories.

A funeral service will be held at St. Paul’s Anglican Church on Thursday, May 23rd, 2024, at 10:30 a.m. with Rev. Kudzaishe Alois Manenji officiating. Interment to follow at the Anglican cemetery in L’anse au Loup.
