Obituary of Elsie Pardy

It is with great sadness that the family of the late Elsie May Pardy announce her passing on May 29, 2024, at the age of 85. She left us peacefully from her home in Happy Valley – Goose Bay, surrounded by her family.

She leaves to mourn with many happy and loving memories her 10 children, Lee, Cora (Darrell), Clemmie (Nick), June (Glen), Raymond, Kathy, Janice (Mike), Wanda, Archie (Vanessa) & Valerie. Her 23 Grand Children, 36 Great Grand Children and 1 Great Great Grandchild as well as a very large circle of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Elsie will be remembered for her immeasurable acts of kindness, her dedication to her faith and her family and her strong work ethic. She found true happiness in the very simple things in life, cooking & baking for her loved ones, spending time with family & friends, holding a baby, and picking berries in her beloved Pack’s Harbour.

Elsie was predeceased by her husband, Reginald Pardy, her parents, Roland and Grace McDonald. Brothers James and baby David and sisters Winnie, Edna, June, Caroline & Stella.

A private service will be held on Saturday, June 1, 2024, followed by her internment at the Jehovah’s Witnesses Cemetery.

Extended family and friends are welcome to join her children and celebrate her life with food, music and laughter 3:30 pm at the Labrador Friendship Centre Multi-Purpose Room on Grenfell Street.
