Obituary of Doris Rita Hamlyn

February 20, 1950 - June 13, 2024

It is with heartfelt sadness the family of  the late Doris Rita Hamlyn from Port au Choix, NL. announce her passing on June 13, 2024 at the Rufus Guinchard Health Care Centre at the age of 74 years..

She leaves to mourn with fond and loving memories, sons:  Glen, Jamie (Collett), Blaine (Cindy), Blair (Heather);  three grandchildren:  Hannah, Brett, Reed; three sisters; Juanita, Bernetta, Judy; brothers:  Eugene, Randy, Blaine, Eric, Dion, Ben, Barry, Rudy, Ernie and a large circle of extended family and friends.

Doris is predeceased by her common-law husband Wade Rumbolt;  parents:  Howard and Georgina Hamlyn and  aunt Rita Farewell.

A special thank you is extended to the Rufus Guinchard Health Care Centre Staff for their care and support given during her stay.

Visitation will take place at  St. Theresa Roman Cathoic Church in Port au Choix, NL.

Friday, June 14, 2024 @ 7pm - 9pm

Saturday, June 15, 2024  @ 2pm - 4pm and  8pm / Family Service.

Funeral Mass / Celebration of Life on Sunday, June 16, 2024 @ 2 pm with Father Amar officiating. Interment to follow at the Sandy Cove Interfaith Cemetery, Port Saunders, NL.

Doris was a wonderful Mother and a dear Friend, whom will be missed by many. She will be forever held in our hearts.
