October 28, 1943 – June 16, 2024

River of Ponds, NL

 

It is with great sadness that the family of the late Leonard Cline House announce his passing on Sunday, June 16, 2024 at the Corner Brook Long Term Care Centre at the age of 80 years.

He leaves to mourn with fond and loving memories his wife of 58 years Edna House; children: Russell (Gladys), Euan (Theresa), Leonard Jr. (Ellisa) and Joanna (Wayne); son-in-law Daniel House; 12 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great-grandchild; brother Gerald (Marjorie); sister Helen Hall; brother-in-law Gerald Humber and sisters-in-law: Gladys Keough and Sadie House; as well as a large circle of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

He was predeceased by his daughter Barbara House, parents Percy and Myra House, brother Henry House, sisters Olive Gaulton (Alfred Tatchell) and Naomi Sheppard (Lloyd), parents-in-law Abraham and Ivy House, brothers-in-law Stanley Hall, Jacob House (Ethel), Hubert House and Ralph Keough and sister-in-law Barbara Humber.

A very special thank you to the staff of 4 North, Corner Brook Long Term Care for their exceptional care they provided to our dad over the past 2 years.

Cremation has taken place. Friends may visit St. Peter’s Anglican Church in River of Ponds on Wednesday from the 6-8 p.m. from where the funeral service will be held on Thursday, June 20 at 2:00 p.m. with Rev. Marie Smith. Interment to take place at a later date. As expressions of sympathy flowers graciously accepted or donations may be made to the Western Memorial Regional Hospital Foundation.
