Leslie Aloysius PEDDLE Nov. 11, 1930 - May 21, 2010 It is with great sadness that the family of the late Leslie Peddle announce his passing on Friday, May 21st, 2010 at the Dr. Charles LeGrow Hospital in Port Aux Basques at the age of 79 years. Born in Corner Brook, Leslie was the son of the late James and Grace (nee Macarthy) Peddle. He was also predeceased by his brothers: Andrew, Edward, Clarence, Josuha; sister Bernadine and special foster child Amanda Lushman. He leaves to mourn with fond and loving memories, his family: wife of 49 years Lorraine; sons: Roland (LouAnn), Stephenville, Ian (Cathy), Francis (Sandy), Codroy Valley, Desmond (Melissa), Calgary; daughters: Susan (Dave), Heatherton, Cindy, St. John’s, Bonnie (Leonard), Codroy Valley, and poppy’s special girl Jillian; brothers: Gerard, Corner Brook, Ambrosse (Bess), St. John’s; sister Sylvia, Ontario; grandchildren: Paschal, Cody, Daniel, Colinda, Roberta, Jason, Patrick, Danielle, Rosemary, Reid, Ian, Noah, and a large circle of nieces, nephews and many friends. Visitation took place on Saturday and Sunday at St. Ann’s Roman Catholic Church in Upper Ferry, from where the Funeral Mass took place on Monday, May 24th at 10:30 a.m., officiated by Father Edward Terry. Interment followed at Mount St. Thomas RC Cemetery in Great Codroy. As expressions of sympathy, flowers were graciously accepted. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Fillatre’s Funeral Home, Port Aux Basques.
