Obituary of John Edward Hutchings

It is with great sadness that the family of the late John Edward Hutchings, announce his passing on June 30^th, 2024, at the Labrador Health Centre, Happy Valley-Goose Bay, NL at the age of 69 years.

Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories are his wife: Shirley (maiden: Dyson); children: Sherry (Boyd) and Darryl (Petapen); 9 grandchildren: Kelsey (Ian), Hailey (Darrell), Donavan (Hannah), Jordan (Ashton), Kaitlyn, Tyler (Mailka), Alex, Oaklynn and Saelyn; brothers: Robert (Sharon), Thom, Perry, Tony, Paul, William, Keith (Katherine) and Bryan (Gillian); sisters: Debbie and Rose (Mike); as well as  a large circle of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

John was predeceased by his parents: Harold and Dora Hutchings; brother: Fred; sisters: Carmella and Janet; nephew: Kenneth; parents in law: Moses and Susannah Dyson; brothers in law: Eugene and William.

Visitation will be held at Fillatre’s Funeral Home, Happy Valley-Goose Bay, NL on Thursday, July 4^th, 2024, from 2:00-4:00 pm and 7:00-9:00 pm.

The funeral service will be held on Friday, July 5^th, 2024, from the Anglican Church, Happy Valley-Goose Bay, NL starting at 2:00 pm with Rev Amber Tremblett officiating. Interment to follow at the Anglican Cemetery.
