Meta June Sharpe (nee Keats)

September 26, 1934 - July 5, 2024

Deer Lake, NL

                It is with profound sadness that the family of the late Meta Sharpe announce her passing on Friday, July 5, 2024, at Corner Brook Long Term Care in her 90^th year.

                Leaving to Mourn are her children; John (Bessie), Ian (Ruby), Jean (Matt), Linden (Penny). Daughter- in law and friend Geraldine Piercey. Grandchildren; Erin and Karen. Siblings; Beulah Pinksen, Doreen Mcpherson and Ina Curlew. As well lifelong friends Tony and Anette Specker.

                Meta was predeceased by her husband Elijah Lloyd, stepson Lorne Piercey, Parents; Samuel and Philipina Keats (nee Downton) , siblings; Ivy, Jack, Harvey, Kay (Milton), Serrick, Patsy (Lawrence), Earle, Brother and sister- in laws; Walter Normore, George Pinsent, Jim Mcpherson, Florence (Mike) Brady, Ester (James) Quilty, Thos (Mary Ellen) Sharpe, Arch (Lucy) Sharpe, Winnie (Henry) Dawe, and Violet (Cecil) Cluney.

                The Family would like to express a sincere thank you to the staff of Corner Brook Long Term Care for the care given to Meta during her time there.

                Visitation will take place at Fillatre’s Funeral Home, 10 Clinic Drive, Deer Lake on Monday, July 8^th, 2024, from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. and 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. Funeral Service will take place on July 9, 2024, at St Paul’s United Church at 2:00 p.m. with Rev. Simon Muwowo officiating.  

                In Lieu of flowers, Donations to St Paul’s United Church would be greatly appreciated.
