Obituary of Claris Barron

It is with great sadness that the family of the late Claris Bertha Barron announce her passing on Tuesday, July 16, 2024, at the Labrador Health Centre, Happy Valley – Goose Bay, NL, at the age of 73 years.

Leaving to mourn are husband: David; daughter: Roxanne (Kevin); sons: Edward (Lori Ann) and David; grandchildren: Alysiah-Lynn, Isaiah, Sarah-Jean, Edward, Taylor and David; brothers and sisters: Jim, Steve (Delphine),  John, Donald (Shirley), George (Maria), Myrtle, and Sam (Christine); Oz and In-law brothers and sisters. And a large circle of nieces,  nephews, great nieces and nephews, and many more family and friends.

Claris was predeceased by granddaughter: August Angel; parents: Steve and Elizabeth Tooktoshina;  brothers: Edgar Lucy, Melvin Tooktoshina, Ralph Tooktoshina; and sisters: Susan Rideout and Joice Allen.

Visitation services are scheduled to take place at Fillatre’s Funeral Home, Happy Valley – Goose Bay, NL on Friday July 19, 2024, for family from 2:00 – 4:00 pm and  all family and friends from 7:00 – 9:00 pm and Saturday July 20, 2024, from 2:00 – 4:00 pm and 7:00 – 9:00 pm.

A celebration of life service will be held at Our Lady of Peace Church, Happy Valley-Goose Bay, NL on Thursday, July 25th, 2024 at 2:00 pm.

As expressions of sympathy, donations can be made to the Cancer Society on her behalf.
