IRENE MILDRED VARDY Corner Brook, NL October 27, 1918 - June 5, 2010 						 Passed peacefully away at the O’Connell Centre in the presence of her family, Irene Mildred Vardy (Nee King) on Saturday, June 5, 2010 in her 92nd year. Left to mourn her son Cyril (Frances); daughter Ruth (Earl) and grandchildren: Brad, Jill (Mark), Leigh Ann, Craig (Carolann), Marc (Mireille); great-grandchildren: Jacob, Graeme, Sam, Chloe, Grace, Hannah, Hollilyn, Elliene and Lilya; one sister Lennie Wagg (Ev); sisters-in-law: Joan King, Midge Faulkner and Ruth Bowering; brothers-in-law: Melvin Vardy and Gary Vardy, as well as a large circle of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She was predeceased by her husband Max, brother Jack King, parents Ernest and Belle King and two infant siblings. Friends may visit Fillatre’s Funeral Home, 4 St. Mark’s Avenue on Monday from the hours of 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. The funeral service will be held on Tuesday, June 8 at 11:00 a.m. from Fillatre’s Chapel, 4 St. Mark’s Avenue with Marilyn Avery officiating. Interment to follow at Mount Patricia Cemetery. As expressions of sympathy in lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Western Memorial Hospital Foundation or to a charity of one’s choice.
