Obituary of Joey Pien Tuminik Penunsi

It is with heavy hearts we announce the passing of our dear son and brother Joey Penunsi on July 28^th, 2024, in Sheshatshiu, NL, at the age of 25 years.

Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories are his mom: Bernadette Penunsi; daughter: Jayda; brothers and sisters: John B. Antuan and 3 children, Maggie J. Antuan and 6 children, Dominic Antuan and 3 children, Penote J. Antuan and 5 children, Matthew Penunsi and 4 children, Davianne N. Penunsi, Mary Ann Penunsi and 5 children, Shinapest Penunsi and Chelsea B. A. Penunsi; as well as many extended relatives and friends.

Joey was predeceased by his father: Dominic Penunsi.

Visitation will be held at Fillatre’s Funeral Home, Happy Valley-Goose Bay on Thursday, August 1, 2024, from 7:00 pm – 9:00 pm. A wake will be held in Sheshatshiu at 7 Mackenzie on Friday, August 2, 2024, starting at 6: 00 pm.

The funeral service will take place at the Roman Catholic Church, Sheshatshiu, NL on Saturday, August 3^rd, 2024, at 2:00 pm with Father Joe officiating. Interment to follow at the Roman Catholic Cemetery.
