It is with great sadness that the family of the late Fred Butt announce his passing on Thursday, May 13th, 2010 at Charles Curtis Memorial Hospital in St. Anthony at the age of 81 years. Leaving to mourn with loving memories children: Boyd (Melita), Curtis (Zita), Mary Hudson (Pius), Yvonne (Dean), Velma Burke (Lyndon), and Bruce (Lynette); grandchildren Stephanie, Stephan, Cordell, Cassie, Brent, Brianna, Kristen, Luke, Jenetta, and Barbara; great-grandchild Ciarra; sisters Julie Ryland and Katie Baikie; brothers Sam and Hayward, as well as a large circle of other family and friends. He was predeceased by wife Meta, and parents Joseph and Isabelle. Visitors were received at the Pinware Community Centre on Friday, from where the Funeral Service took place on Saturday, May 15th at 11:00 am, with Alice Moores and Loretta Hancock officiating. Interment followed at the United Church Cemetery in Pinware. As expressions of sympathy flowers were graciously accepted. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Fillatre’s Funeral Home, L’Anse au Loup.
