Obituary of Thomas Patrick Turner

It is with great sadness that the family of Thomas Patrick Turner announce his sudden passing on August 28, 2024 at Western Memorial Regional Hospital, Palliative Care Unit in Corner Brook, at the age of 80 years.

Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories, his wife Nona; Children: Penney (Rod) Bailey and Shelley Allen; Grandchildren: Stephanie (David), Sam and Victoria (Kiel) ;Great grandchildren: Archer and Olive. Sisters and Brother: Margaret Ryan, Cyril Turner, Lily (George) Wall, Bonnie (Bill) Bonnell; Sister-in-law Sharon Turner; as well as a large circle of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

Thomas is pre-deceased by his parents John and Nora Turner; brothers Andrew, Augustus, Gerald; sisters Christina (Bert) Kelly, Jean (Bill) Wall, Kay (Harry) Brenton, Marie (Bill) George, James (Margaret) Turner, brother-in-law Joseph Ryan.

 

The funeral service will take place at the Holy Rosary Parish in Pasadena on Saturday, August 31, 2024 at 11:00 am, officiated by Father Gerard Patry with interment to follow at the Roman Catholic Cemetery on Church Street.

 

A big thank you to all the special people who worked with Tom at Long Term Care as well as doctors and nurses at the emergency department and Palliative care unit at Western Memorial.

 

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made out to the Parkinsons Society of Newfoundland and Labrador.
