David E. Brown

November 12, 1938 – September 9, 2024

It is with great sadness that the family of the late David E. Brown announce his  passing on Monday, September 9th, 2024 at the Western Long Term Care Home, Bayside Unit at the age of 85 years. Predeceased by his wife of 57 years Sylvia Brown. He leaves to mourn with fond and loving memories his daughter Jo-Anne (Kevin) McCarthy, grandsons: David (Ashley) McCarthy and Daniel McCarthy (Caitlin)  whom he loved dearly; brother Tom (Florence – deceased); sister  Deirdre (Mike – deceased) Cirino; sister-in-law Joan (Tom) Chaulk; brother-in-law Max (Michelle) Anstey; nieces and nephews: Elizabeth, Doug (Serena) and Lynda Brown (Austin); Donna (Keith) Warren, Dianne (Brian) Vincent, Troy Anstey (Keisha), along with a large number of great niece and nephews; Sophia, Adam, Chad, Grant, Myles, and many other relatives and friends. He was predeceased by his parents Alphonso (Al) and Elizabeth Brown and in-laws Max and Pearl Anstey.

A special thank you to staff of Bayside at the Western Long Term Care Home and the Bungalow Community Residence.  Visitation will be held for family and friends on Thursday from the hours of 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. at Fillatre's Funeral Home, 4 St. Mark's Avenue. The funeral service will be held on Friday, September 13th at 2:00 p.m. at the Salvation Army Temple, O’Connell Drive with Majors Brian and Valerie Wheeler officiating. Interment to follow at Mount Patricia Cemetery. As expressions of sympathy, donations may be made to the Salvation Army Temple or a charity of one's choice.
