It is with great sadness that the family of the late Sadie Jesso announce her passing on Monday, September 23^rd, 2024 at Western Memorial Regional Hospital at the age of 90 years. Leaving to mourn with very fond and loving memories are her children: Mona Bennett (Charles deceased), Ray Jesso (Maureen), Anthony Jesso (Kim) and Peter Bennett (Tracey); precious grandchildren: Joanne, Nicole, Allan, Darlene, Vicki, Mark, Megan, Douglas; great grandchildren, Cole, Quinn, Jackson, Kailee, Lilly, Liam, Emma, Nicholas and Jeremy;  brothers and sisters, Mike Sheehan (Luella), Mary Brockway (Kenny deceased), Evelyn Dennis (Frank), Tom Sheehan, Imelda Welshman (Frank), Vera Dennis (Bern), Irene Humber (Fred); best friend Eileen Companion and God daughter Cindi; brother and sisters-in-law:  Lucy Sheehan, Wally Jesso (Yvonne) , Ren Jesso, Isabelle Parsons, Kay Parsons, Ruby Curtis (Dave) and Betty Jesso, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She is predeceased by her husband Albert, daughter Noreen (Polly) Edmunds, grandson Anthony Bennett, parents John and Stella Sheehan, brothers John Michael and Benjamin Sheehan, niece Peggy Sheehan, sisters-in-law Doreen Dennis and Mary Jesso and brothers-in-law Mike Jesso, Ralph Dennis, Wilfred Parsons, Howard Parsons, Eric (Chain) Jesso and parents-in-law Ernest and Frances Jesso.

Visitation will take place from Fillatre’s Funeral Home, 218 Curling Street on Wednesday, September 25^th from 2-4 and 7-9 Pm. The funeral service will be held on Thursday, September 26^th at 10:30 AM from Our Lady Star of the Sea, Benoits Cove with Father Lee Lainey officiating. Interment to follow at the family plot, Benoits Cove.

The family would like to extend a very special thank you to the management and staff at the Lohnes Complex, which Sadie considered her second family; as well to the Nurses at the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) for their exceptional care and kindness shown not only to Sadie but to us, her family, we are forever grateful.
