Obituary of Simon Joseph Andrew

It is with great sadness that the family of the late Simon Joseph Andrew announce his passing on Tuesday, October 1st, 2024, at the Labrador Grenfell Health Hospital in Happy Valley-Goose Bay, NL at the age of 61 years.

Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories are his Wife: Tina Andrew; Children: Simon Andrew Jr., Theresa A. Andrew, Penote Andrew, & Chirstina Andrew; Sister: Rose Rich; Adopted Sisters: Sue Ellen Rich and Philomena Andrew; Adopted Brother: Jean Pierre Ashini; and Grandchildren: Etana, Zeya, Stacey, Amber, Aiden, Maniaten, Myles, Sianna, Eve, Veydah, Tory, John, Matt, Nikita, Tianna, and Antuan;  as well as a large circle of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Simon was predeceased by his Parents: John M. & Theresa Andrew; Son: Joachim Andrew; Grandparents: Shimun Pone, Mary Theresa Pone, Ann Pone, Alphonse Andrew, & Caroline Andrew; as well as three brothers & one sister born sleeping. 

Friends and family may visit Fillatre's Funeral Home, Happy Valley—Goose Bay, NL, on Thursday, October 3rd, 2024, from the hours of 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. A wake will take place at 8 Antane St. in Sheshatshiu, NL on Friday, October 4th, 2024.

The funeral service will be held on Saturday, October 5th, 2024, from the Roman Catholic Church in Sheshatshiu, NL at 11:00 am with Father Joe officiating. Internment to follow at the Roman Catholic Cemetery, Sheshatshiu, NL.
