Denis Joseph Hector Morin

July 18, 1946 - September 19, 2024

Timmins, Ontario

It is with heavy hearts that the family of the late Denis Morin announce his sudden passing at the age of 78 years in Gillams, NL

Denis was predeceased by his parents Laurent and Germaine; Paul Morin and Lilianne Charlebois.

Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories; Antoinette Morrissette, Donald Morin (Ponciana), Yvette Morin, Ghislaine Laverdure, and Cluade Morin (Lori-Ann).

Denis was known for his smile, his great disposition, his kindness and generosity sometimes to a fault. He worked in Timmins, Ontario for Woodworth's (night shift), as a custodian for Kidd Creek Mines, for a security company, and for Wal-Mart in Corner Brook as a greeter. He was a regular visitor to Corner Brook Long Term Care. Denis Volunteered for Timmins Hospital, for Telecare, the CNIB, at the fire department in Gillams, and that is only to name a few. 

Denis was a true-blue Newfoundlander as he made it his forever home for the past eleven-ish years. Never knowing the word STOP! his next challenge was returning to school at Academy Canada. He achieved his grade 12 diploma, his MDR (Medical Device Reprocessing) diploma, and in April of 2025, Denis was going to push forward and achieve a PCA (Personal Care Attendant) diploma.

Newfoundland had been good for him, he never returned to his hometown of Timmins. Everything important was here for him; his extended family, his friends, and most of all his happiness. How lucky was he! 

As per his wishes, cremation has taken place with no visitation or service.

R.I.P. bro! Till we meet again, God willing.
