Obituary of Ida Jane Brown
It is with great sadness that the family of the late Ida Jane Brown announce her passing on Friday, October 18th, 2024, at Long Term Care, Happy Valley-Goose Bay, NL at the age of 94 years.
Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories are her children: Gordon (Cora), Harvey (Peggy), Austin (Diane), Elva (Tony), Mabel (Dave), Louis (Blenda), Freeman (Doreen), Ford (Marina), Herman (Sally), Harold (Sheila), and Lucy (David); a large number of grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great grandchildren; as well as many nieces, nephews, other extended relatives and friends.
Ida was predeceased by her husband: James Brown; and sons: Lester, Edmund and Lindsay.
Visitation will take place at Fillatre’s Funeral Home, Happy Valley-Goose Bay, NL on Monday, October 21st, 2024, from 10:00 am – 12:00 pm.
A funeral service will be held at St. Andrew’s Anglican Church, Happy Valley-Goose Bay, NL on Monday, October 21st, 2024, at 2:00 pm with Rev. Nellie Thomas officiating.
Another visitation will take place at St. Mark’s Anglican Church, St. Lewis, NL on Tuesday, October 22nd, 2024, from 7:00 – 9:00 pm.
A funeral service will take place at St. Mark’s Anglican Church, St. Lewis, NL on Wednesday, October 23rd, 2024 at 10:00 am, with Rev Jennifer Rumbolt officiating. Interment to follow at the St. Lewis Cemetery.
