Obituary of Ralph Samuel Cox

Ralph Cox
March 30, 1944 – October 19, 2024

It is with deep sadness that the family of Ralph Samuel Cox announce his passing at the age of 80 after a long battle with vascular dementia. Ralph was born on March 30, 1944 to George and Margaret Cox of Cox’s Cove. Left to mourn are his partner Linda Ellsworth and his children: Della (Glenn) of Dryden, ON, Ralph (Roxanne) of Ignace, ON, Samuel (Sheri) of Kentville, NS, and Trina (Dean) of Elk Point, AB; as well as stepdaughter Kim (Perry) of Deer Lake, NL. Also left to mourn are his grandchildren: Gregory, Helen, Joshua, Jordan, Dr. Kassandra, Justin, Daniel, Timothy and Desiree, and his great-grandchildren: Makenna, Jackson, Amelia, Ellie and Dawson, and a large circle of nieces and nephews. The family would like to recognize the help and support provided by Barb in the late stages of his dementia. Ralph was predeceased by his parents George and Margaret, his wife Bridie and his daughter Ursula, and his siblings Edna, Alfreda, Martha, Eileen, William, Luke, Walter, Amy and Clara.

Visitation will take place at St. Nicholas Anglican Church in Cox’s Cove on Tuesday, October 22, 2024 from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. from where the funeral service will be held on Wednesday, October 23, 2024 at 1:00 p.m. with Reverend George Critchell officiating. Interment to follow at the church cemetery. A small gathering to follow at the Golden Rainbow Senior’s Centre. Donations can be made to the McIvers Fire Brigade or the Humber Valley Co-Operative Living Corporation.
