It is with overwhelming sadness and loss that we, the family of the late Paul Walsh, announce his passing on October 20, 2024 at the age of 85. Paul was born in Midland, Newfoundland on August 23rd, 1939. The youngest child to Patrick and Elizabeth Walsh, some of the first 25 settlers to arrive in the area. He was, up until his death, the oldest living settler of Pasadena who had never left the area.

He was predeceased by his 4 brothers and 1 sister.

He leaves to mourn with many fond and loving memories, his wife of 65 years, Catherine. His sons Rod (Marian), Dennis (Cindy), Faron (Terry), Nikk (Luck), and his daughter Paula (Darryl). Also, a multitude of Grand, Great-Grand, and a Great-Great Grandchild.

He was also a brother-in-law, an uncle to plenty of nieces and nephews, and a true friend to so many all over Canada.

Over the past two and half years, he has held a special bond with his PSW Krista. We thank her for her love, attention and continued support. To the staff and doctors at the hospital unit 5D and also the palliative care unit, we want to thank you from the bottom of our hearts for your kindness, compassion and caring. Finally, God bless all who helped in any way, whether it was with prayers, food, rides, or visits. We are thankful for the wonderful people he had in his life.

Visitation will take place on Tuesday, October 22, 2024 from the hours of 7-9pm at Holy Rosary Roman Catholic Church Pastoral Center in Pasadena. The funeral service will take place on Wednesday, October 23, 2024 at 2:00pm at Holy Rosary Roman Catholic Church in Pasadena with Father Gerard Patey officiating. Interment to follow at Holy Rosary Cemetery, Church Street, Pasadena.
