Obituary of Lillian Hobbs

It is with great sadness that the family of the late Lillian Mable Hobbs announce her passing on Saturday, October 26^th, 2024, at Long Term Care, Happy Valley-Goose Bay, NL at the age of 86 years.

Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories are her children: Rhonda May Bookbinder (Jason), Marilyn Grace Budgell (Nelson), Lillian Gladys Dyson (Eric), and Ralph Wilton Webber Jr; grandchildren: William Smith (Jennifer), Bradley Budgell (Bethan), Christopher Budgell (Nakita), Darlene Budgell (Edward), Brian Webber and Bernice Penashue (Robert); brothers in law: Tom Hobbs (Mary), Ken Hobbs, and Eric Hobbs; sisters in law: Mary Peddle (Ron), Daphne Walsh (Gerald) and Lavenia Hobbs; as well as a large circle of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Lillian was predeceased by her husband: Raymond Douglas Hobbs; daughter: Bernice Webber; grandson: Darren Budgell; parents: Charlie and Gladys (nee: Russell) Broomfield; brother: John Broomfield; sisters: Fanny McNeil, Susie Rich, Gladys Humby, Doris Snow and Annie Parsons.

Friends may visit Fillatre’s Funeral Home, Happy Valley-Goose Bay, NL on Tuesday, October 29^th, 2024, from 7:00 – 9:00 pm.

The funeral service will be held on Wednesday, October 30^th, 2024, at 2:00 pm from the Anglican Church, Happy Valley-Goose Bay, NL with Rev. Nellie Thomas officiating. Interment to follow at the Anglican Cemetery.
