Henry Allan Quilty

Highlands, NL

April 29, 1940– October 30, 2024

 

It is with great sadness that we the family announce the passing of Henry Allan Quilty at Sir Thomas Roddick Hospital, at the age of 84 years.

 

He will be greatly missed by his children: Jenny (Robert), Fintan (Linda), Roxanne and Laurie Ann; grandchildren: Travis, Emma, Jason, Rachelle, Robin, Laci, Emily, Jenna; 7 great-grandchildren: his brothers: Rod (Phyllis), John James (Norma), Nick (Ina); 2 sisters-in-law: Eileen, Mary, brother-in-law Joe. Pam Williams and life long friend Ray Gillis.

 

Henry was a man who loved music, playing the guitar and singing. He was a fisherman and a carpenter. He could pick up anything and make something useful out of it, a very creative mind. Henry would also look out the window every day to see what birds were flying about.

 

He was predeceased by his wife Marie; parents Dorothy & John Quilty; his brothers: Gus, Gerald and his sister Loretta (King).

 

Family extends special thanks to Dr. Dwyer, nurse practitioner Wendy Squires and the nursing staff at Sir Thomas Roddick Hospital. A special thank you also to his support workers Maureen, Vanessa, Grace and Cathy.

 

Respecting Henry’s wishes, cremation was granted. Funeral service and inurnment to be announced in the summer of 2025
