Obituary of Rose Oliver

It is with great sadness that the family of the late Rose Susannah Oliver announce her passing on Thursday, November 7th, 2024 at the Labrador Health Centre, NL at the age of 78.

Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories are Spouse: Jerry Learning; Daughter: Kim (Jenny) Oliver; Grandson: Dryden; Brother: Fred (Annie) Shiwak; Sisters: Christine (Henry) Broomfield & Laura Shiwak; As well as a large circle of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.

Rose is predeceased by:  Parents: Wilfred and Blanche Shiwak; other family members: Hayward Oliver, Bill Shiwak, Ned Shiwak, Dan Shiwak, Johnny Boy Shiwak, Evelyn Campbell, Bertha Shiwak, Amy Jane Shiwak, and Marjorie Goudie.

Friends and family may visit Fillatre’s Funeral Home, Happy Valley-Goose Bay on Friday, November 8th, 2024, between the hours of 7:00-9:00pm.

The funeral service will be held on Saturday, November 9th, 2024 at 2:00 pm from St. Andrew’s Anglican Church, Happy Valley-Goose Bay, with Reverend Nellie Thomas officiating. Internment will immediately follow at the Anglican Cemetery, Happy Valley-Goose Bay, NL.
