A special thank you to our special sister in law Debbie Rowe who's devoted love and care for Diane throughout her recent illness was very appreciated.

Diane was always  in contact with her family and friends and acknowledged their special days such as birthdays and anniversaries. She was a kind gentle soul and always had a funny story about life events. She was a tremendous person, a confidante with broad shoulders that we could rely on.

Diane was an avid softball player taking the position of first base as well as mentoring her teammates through every catch, pitch and swing. She played goalie in broomball and helped shape women in sport overall with her enthusiasm and passion. She had an awesome talent for throwing darts and shooting pool. She also enjoyed playing cards with friends and family and telling stories which were hilarious and she enjoyed making people laugh. She also loved camping, music and played spoons along with the family musicians. During her many years of playing sports, she earned many awards and medals for her accomplishments. Overall she was an All-star athlete.

She also loved making beaded bracelets and was a perfectionist with every one that she created.

Diane was very proud of her forty three years of service while she was employed at Western Memorial Regional Hospital from which she retired in 2013. She was always eager to learn new skills and also to mentor her fellow colleagues.

The family would like to acknowledge the Health Care Professionals and Support Staff at Western Health, Health Sciences Center and St. Clare’s Mercy Hospital. All of you were very kind to Diane and we are so grateful for your tireless care and compassion. We would also like to thank the many friends and family that visited and supported her throughout her journey.

Love you forever Diane.
