It is with great sadness the family of the late Ronald Williams announce that he passed peacefully away with his family by his side in his 86th year on November 15, 2024 at Western Memorial’s Palliative Care Unit in Corner Brook.

Left to mourn are his son: Paul Williams of Ontario; grandchildren: Crystal and Ashley Williams of Ontario; grandson: Tommy Campbell; brother: Wayne Williams of Montreal; sisters: Maureen Smith, Audrey Duffenais, Barbara Maringo (Allen Rowe); daughter-in-law: Lorraine Campbell; sisters-in-law: Eileen Williams and Harriette Williams, as well as a large circle of nieces, nephews and friends. Also left to mourn: his long-time loving partner Maxine Jones, her three children Wayne, Ward, David and their families who he dearly loved.

Ron was predeceased by his wife: Shirley Williams (nee McKinnon); son: Gerry Williams; mother and father: Margaret and Charles Williams; sisters: Margaret Tucker, Shirley Chaulk; brothers: Thomas, Edward, David, and Roy Williams.

You will be forever loved and dearly missed. The family would like to express our gratitude to the nurses and staff of the Palliative Care unit for their devotion, compassion and kindness, not only towards my brother but to the family.

At Ron’s request cremation has taken place. There will be no formal visitation. A burial service will take place at Mount Patricia Cemetery on Sunday, November 17, 2024 at 2:00pm. As expressions of sympathy, in lieu of flowers, a donation can be made to The Canadian Cancer Society.
