Please share a memory of Harriet to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.

Harriet Elsie Crant
Corner Brook, NL

The family of Harriet Crant would like to thank everyone for their love and support during this difficult time. It was great knowing that she was so loved, especially by the doctors, staff and nurses of CBLTC 4th floor. Thank you to the pallbearers, staff at Fillatre's Funeral Home, Rev, Tanya White, my special friends Pat and Eugne Small and Wanda Gillingham who are like family to us. To all that attended the visitation and funeral for Harriet, phone calls, messages, food and donations to the Janeway Children's Hospital.

On March 9, 1948 an angel was born to Eldred and Hazel Crant on Pass Island, NL.

Neice Tonya (Monty) of Calgary. Great-nephews and nieces Stephen, Jessica, Kieran and Shaye. Great-great-nephew Owen, great-great-nieces, Sophie and Elana, Uncle, Wilfred Taylor, many cousins, and a large circle of friends at Corner Brook Long Term Care.

Harriet moved to Corner Brook from Pass Island at age 8 years old. She attended Wonderland School for people with disabilities. She was also a client of the VON Day Care Program which she really enjoyed until her accident. She became a resident of Corner Brook Long Term Care where she excelled at painting and bowling, as well as her many hours of knitting. Harriet was often referred to as the "Walmart Greeter" because she loved to meet new people and inform new families of the requirements of the home.

Special thanks for the love and care shown to her by the nurses and staff of CBLTC 4th floor. Dr. Wadwha who has taken care of her for many years. A big thank you to Eugene and Pat Small, Wanda Gillingham, Jean Froud and Keisha Locke. We are incredibly grateful for the support of Rev. Tanya White, Rev. David Russell and Fillatre's Funeral Home.

A visitation for family and friends will be held at Fillatre Funeral Home, 4 St. Mark’s Avenue, on Wednesday, November 20, 2024 from the hours of 2-3pm with a funeral service to follow starting at 3:00pm in Fillatre Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Tanya White officiating. Interment will follow at Mount Patrica Cemetery. As expressions of sympathy, in lieu of flowers donations may be made to Janeway Children's Hospital Foundation, St. John's, NL and would be greatly appreciated.
