Obituary of Geraldine Bertha Penashue

It is with great sadness that the family of the late Geraldine Bertha Penashue announce her passing on Friday, November 15^th, 2024, at the Miller Centre, St. John’s, NL at the age of 52 years.

Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories are her husband: Marty Andrew; children: Nicole Penashue (Pien Selma), Shipiss Andrew (Margaret Nuna), Hannah Penashue (Kanikuen Pastitshi), Alex Penashue (Denise Piwas), Germaine Penashue (Peter John Andrew) and Matshiu Ben Penashue (Eliza Tuglavina); mother: Philomena Penashue;  sisters: Janet Penashue, Pauline Pone and Lyla Nuna; brothers: Pat Penashue, Roderick Penashue and Tony Penahue; grandchildren: Madison, Lucas, Savannah, Cole, McKenna, Liam, Callum, Mateo and Sophie Lynn; great grandchild: Elias; as well as a large circle of extended relatives and friends.

Geraldine was predeceased by her father: Antuan Penashue; daughter: Adele Penashue; grandparents: Alphonse and Caroline Andrew and Pien and Lizette Penashue.

A wake will be held at the CYN, Sheshatshiu, NL on Friday, November 22^nd, 2024, from 1:00-3:00 pm for family only and 3:00 pm onward for the public.

The funeral service will take place on Saturday, November 23^rd, 2024, from the Roman Catholic Church in Sheshatshiu, NL at 12:00 pm with Father Joe officiating. Interment to follow at the Roman Catholic Cemetery.
