It is with great sadness that the family of the late Joseph Battcock announce his passing on Thursday, July 8th, 2010 at the Labrador Health Centre at the age of 79 years. He will be sadly missed by his wife Anita; children: Diane, Janet (Andrew Earp), Reginald, Donald (Nancy) and Margaret; 6 grandchildren: Andre, Natasha, Alicia, Brian, Cynthia and Jordan; 2 great-grandchildren: Max and Jake, as well as a large circle of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. He was predeceased by son Brian (October 2006). Friends may visit Fillatre's Funeral Home, Happy Valley Goose Bay on Friday between the hours of 2-4 & 7-9. The Funeral Service will take place from Our Lady Queen of Peace RC Parish on Saturday, July 10th at 2:00 p.m., interment following at the church cemetery. Father Nestor Silva officiating. As expressions of sympathy, in lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Our Lady Queen of Peace Parish, Happy Valley Goose Bay.
