Obituary of Mary Loretta King

It is with great sadness that the family of the late Mary Loretta King announces her passing on March 13, 2018 at Corner Brook Long Term Care at the age of 76 years. Loretta leaves to mourn with fond and loving memories her husband of 56 years Joseph King. Children: Joan Johnson (David), Vivian Callahan (Jim), Jerome King (Laurie); grandchildren: Troy Dettwiler, Hanna Johnson, Morgan King, Ethan King, Ashtin King: brothers: Allan (Marie), Gerald (Mary), Rodderick (Phyllis), John James (Norma) and Nicholas Quilty (Ina) as well as nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Predeceased by her grandson Sheldon Johnson; brother Augustus Quilty; parents John and Dorothy Quilty. Loretta loved to strole along the beach enjoying the sights and sounds of Bay St. George. Her love of country music brought out her full spirit as she danced with family and friends. She always had a beautiful smile which warmed the hearts of many. The family would like to extend their sincere thanks to the doctors and staff of Corner Brook Long Term Care for their dedication and excellent care they provided Mary over the years. Cremation has taken place at Humber Valley Crematorium, Pasadena, NL. The funeral service will take place on Thursday, June 7, 2018 at 1:00 p.m. from St. Columcille Parish, St. Fintan's, NL with Father Maurice O'Quinn officiating. As expressions of sympathy donations may be made to the Janeway Children’s Hospital Foundation, 300 Prince Philip Drive, St. John’s, NL A1B 3V6. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Fillatre’s Funeral Home, Stephenville Crossing, NL.
