It is with deep sadness that we announce the sudden passing of Ephraim Skinner at his home in Burgeo on Wednesday, December 11, 2024 at the age of 77 years. A dear husband, father, grandfather, brother, brother-in-law, uncle and friend.
Leaving to mourn his loving wife, Mary of 51 years and their three daughters, Regina (Bernie), Jodi (Edward) and Nichole (Glen); grandchildren, Grant, Alec, Taylor, Paige and Cody; brothers, Lloyd (Joyce), Cyril (Melita), Frank (Doreen) and Leonard (Geraldine); sister Elsie (Chris), brothers and sisters-in-law, Linda, Walter (Linda), Dora, Bernice, Bob (Violet), Ida (Bill), Dallas, Reg (Gail), Audrey, Gladys (Emmanuel), Edward (Vicki), Sam (Wanda), Rick (Sharlen), Lisa (Jeremy), Cora (Tony), Danny (Becky), brother-in-law Freeman Anderson as well as a very large circle of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
He is predeceased by his parents Stanley and Emma Skinner, brother George; parents-in-law Mary and Reg MacDonald, sister-in-law Brenda Anderson; brothers-in-law, Keith (Marge) MacDonald, Cyril Simms, Cecil Spencer, Charlie Young and Doug Northcott.
Eph was a very quiet loving man who loved his wife and children dearly. He was a man of few words but loved life and spending time at his cabin, and in later years going to Alberta to be with his children and grandchildren. They were his world.
Eph left this world as quietly as he lived it. He will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege to know him.
The funeral service will be held on Tuesday, December 17th at 2:00 p.m. from St. John the Evangelist Church, Burgeo with Reverend Elsie Rose officiating.
