Obituary of Marion Shiwak

It is with great sadness that the family of the late Marion Shiwak (nee Mugford) announce her passing on January 6^th, 2025, at Long Term Care, Happy Valley-Goose Bay, NL at the age of 92 years.

Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories are her children: Roger (Lorraine), Lorraine (Steven), Marie (Donald) and Jason (Michelle); grandchildren: Clinton (Andrea); Cheryl (Wendell), Sheldon, Shona, April (Danny), Haley, Daniel, and Lucas; great grandchildren: Megan, Caylee, Maya, Kelsey, Alex, Lila, Monique, Madison, Mason and Phybee; nephews: Arthur Williams, and Garry Bird; niece: Ethel Campbell; brother in law: Fred Shiwak; sisters in law: Christine Broomfield and Laura Shiwak; as well as a large circle of other extended family and friends.

Marion was predeceased by her parents: Abraham and Winnifred Mugford (nee: Rich); husband: Daniel Shiwak; brothers: Lawrence Mugford, Moses Mugford. Matthew Mugford, Will Mugford, twin brother Horace Mugford, Henry John Williams and Jack Mugford; sisters: Elsie Williams; Sarah Bird, Naomi Williams, and Selina Martin.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, January 7^th, 2025, at Fillatre’s Funeral Home, Happy Valley-Goose Bay, NL from 7:00 – 9:00 pm.

The funeral service will be announced at a late date. It will be held at the Rigolet Community Hall with Rev Sarah Baikie officiating.
