Obituary of George Maxwell Roberts
It is with great sadness that the family of the late George Roberts announce his passing on Wednesday, June 30th, 2010 at Labrador South Health Centre Long Term Care Unit in Forteau at the age of 71 years. Leaving to mourn with loving memories wife Jenesta; children Marina Fowler (Dorman) and Selma Normore (Winston); sons Randy (Lisa), Peter (Lisette), Quinton (Kristen), Georgina and Kayla (Perry); nine grandchildren: Connie, Scott, Lucas, Maria, Nathan, Cloe, Mark, Michael and Jamie; brothers: Warren, Harold and William; sister Marie, as well as a large circle of other family and friends. He was predeceased by wife Fronia; parents Maxwell and Melsie Roberts and sister Hazel. Visitors were accepted at the English Point Gospel Hall on Thursday and Friday from where the Funeral Service took place on Saturday, July 3rd at 2:00 p.m. with Mr. David Hunt officiating. Interment followed at the church cemetery in Forteau. As expressions of sympathy, flowers were graciously accepted. Funeral arrangements were entrusted to Fillatre's Funeral Home, L'Anse au Loup.
