Brenda Karen Hillier
November 17, 1959 – January 15, 2025
It is with heavy hearts the family of Brenda Karen Hillier (Pye) announce her passing on Wednesday, January 15, 2025, at the age of 65 at Western Memorial Regional Hospital in Corner Brook after a short but fierce fight with cancer.
She is survived by her loving daughter Natasha Pye; parents Reginald and Melva Hillier; Brothers Barry (Sharon), Brad(Josie), Blaine(Suzette); Aunts Vera Boyle and Nellie Adam’s; as well as nieces, nephews and a very large circle of family, friends.
Brenda was predeceased by her grandparents Issac and Mabel Eddy and Reginald and Gladys Hillier; Aunts & Uncles Jean and Judson Bursey, Edna and Calvin Nichols, Robert Boyle, Gus Adam’s Sr.
Thanks to very special friends Paulette Anderson, Gwen Williams, Lorraine Kelly and Lorraine Sparkes for their loving friendship.
The family would also like to take this time to thank the many health care professionals that took such great and kind care of her and the family during this difficult time. Special thanks to Marina Jones (home care), the Deer Lake Community Health Team, in particular Bethany Ball. The oncologists, radiologists, and doctors in both St. John's and Corner Brook. A special thanks to the doctors, nurses and entire team at the Palliative Care Unit at Western Memorial Regional Hospital in Corner Brook, Dr. White, Dr. Dunn and Dr. "B", your kindness and compassion will never be forgotten.
There will be no services held at this time. A Celebration of Life will be announced at a later date.
