Passed away suddenly on Tuesday, August 3rd, 2010 at Western Memorial Regional Hospital, Peter Hughes in his 69th year. Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories are his wife, Margaret “Peg” Chaffey; brother: Paul (Helen), England; nephews and great nephews, England; and brother-in-law: Bill (Gloria) Chaffey, Bedford, NS. He was predeceased by his parents: Peter and Minnie Hughes. According to Peter’s wishes, there will be no funeral service. Cremation has taken place. A memorial visitation will be held on Friday, August 6th from 2-4:00 p.m. from Fillatre’s Funeral Home, 4 St. Marks Avenue. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Meadows Volunteer Fire Department, c/o The Town of Meadows, Box 3529, RR# 2, Corner Brook, NL, A2H 6B9.
